The pleated skirt is everywhere (and it has been for a while now), but during fashion month, it seemed that streetstyle queens everywhere were agreeing on a new way to wear this garment: with a chunky knit. La falda plisada esta por todas partes (y ha sido el caso desde hace mucho ya), pero durante el mes de la moda, parece ser que todas las reinas del ‘streetstyle’ se pusieron de acuerdo con una manera nueva de llevar esta prenda: con un jersey grueso. If you search for the hashtag «#pleatedskirt» on Instagram, you’ll find over 137,000 posts! Needless to say, this skirt is on everyone’s mind, and there’s a version for every style! The first choice below on the left is by Mango available here. I love bold colors and the color blocking in this skirt would look great on many body types; I’d pair it with a chunky black sweater or maybe even red!

No hace falta decir que esta falda está presente en la mente de todos, y hay una versión para cada estilo. La primera opción abajo (a la izquierda) por Mango está disponible aquí. Me encanta los colores fuertes y la división de colores en está falda le quedaría bien a muchos diferentes tipos de cuerpos. ¡Yo me lo pondría con un jersey grueso negro o incluso uno rojo!
The next option is a checked skirt by Zara that you can buy via this link. The way they’ve styled it in the pic, with a tucked-in black sweater is great, you could also do the chunky knit with this though.
La siguiente opción es una falda de cuadros por Zara que puedes comprar a través de este enlace. La manera que lo han estilizado en la foto, con el jersey negro metido dentro de la falda está genial, y también podrías ponértelo con un jersey grueso.
And the third style available on Asos is a lovely button-through version. Again, the styling is great with the cropped sweater, but you can also do an oversized grey knit, like the one below.

THE CHUNKY KNIT
Below are some options I’ve found on sweaters that, would not only work well with pleated skirts, but would go great with other pieces in your wardrobe, like skinny jeans or maybe even a pencil skirt.
Abajo tienes varias opciones de jerséis que encontrado que, no sólo irían bien con faldas plisadas, si no que también quedarían genial con otras prendas en tu armario, como los ‘skinny jeans’ o incluso con una falda tubo.
The first is a classic grey chunky knit by Zara available thru this link. A fab option if you’re not sure what color skirt you’ll buy (this grey goes perfectly with many colors, like: burgundy, mustard yellow, any jewel tones, white, black, etc.).
