Last week had a look at some shots I took in London of the #lfw streetstyle (missed it? check it out here). The looks were fun, unique, and very London – mixing garments from different seasons, with clashing patterns and textures, and paired with attention-grabbing accessories.
La semana pasada vimos algunas fotos que tomé en Londres durante la semana de la moda de Londres (¿te lo perdiste? Léelo aquí). Los ‘looks’ eran divertidos, únicos y ‘muy Londres’ – mezclando prendas de diferentes temporadas, utilizando estampados y texturas que chocaban por el contraste que hacían, y rematándolo todo con complementos llamativos.
This time around, we’re glancing at some of the most elegant (and still very unique and cool) looks from the streets of Paris that I spotted while there for an exciting Launchmetrics project.
Esta vez, miramos algunos de los looks más elegantes (pero todavía diferentes y ‘cool’), de las calles de París que vi cuando estuve para un proyecto emocionante de Launchmetrics.

LOUD PRINT– Minkie Mk in Richard Quin was such a showstopper. The combination of the retro shaped coat with loud, modern leopard print was a breath a fresh air from the typical leopard print we’ve been seeing lately. The patent leather pointed toe stiletto ankle boots and classic black leather bowling bag were the perfect complements to this gorgeous outfit.
ESTAMPADO LLAMATIVO – Minkie Mk vestida en Richard Quin fue muy sensacional. La combinación de este abrigo con forma retro y estampado de leopardo moderno y llamativo fue un soplo de aire fresco comparado con todo el ‘leopard print’ que hemos visto últimamente. Los botines puntiagudas de charol negro con tacón y el clásico bolso ‘bowling’ negro fueron los complementos perfectos para este conjunto maravilloso.
BUTTON-DOWN SIDE SEAMS – I’m seeing two major 90’s comebacks in this look. The baggy pants with button-down side seams and the sheer printed top that makes her arms look as if they were covered in tattoos. I must say I don’t think just anyone can pull off these two elements so well – an edgy look worn elegantly by this fashion show attendee.
Costadillos que se cierran con botones – Estoy viendo dos regresos importantes de los 90 en este look. Los pantalones anchos con costadillos con cierre de botones y un top transparente con un estampado que hace que sus brazos parezcan tatuados. Debo decir que no todo el mundo puede llevar estos dos elements tan bien y con tanta facilidad – un look moderno y atrevido llevado de manera elegante por esta invitada de la fashion week.
MONOCHROME OUTFITS – Something that repeatedly appeared on the streets of Paris during fashion week was the monochrome trend. Head-to-toe looks all in the same hue. And what makes for a better picture than bringing your girlfriend to the show and matching each other by wearing the same trend? Bravo to these stylish ladies.
Conjuntos monocromo – Algo que seguía apareciendo en las calles de parís durante la fashion week era la tendencia monocromo. Looks enteros del mismo matiz. ¿Y qué mejor para una buena foto que traer a tu amiga al desfile y vestiros de la misma tendencia para complementar la una a la otra? ¡Bravo¡ ¡Qué chicas más estilosas!
And, here’s another head-to-toe monochrome outfit, this time a canary yellow suit with matching sneakers. The idea of a bright colored suit for spring with matching sneakers is such a cool look in my opinion (maybe a bit too loud for the office but a nice change from the classic suit colors we see everyday).
Y, aquí tenéis otro conjunto monocromo de pies a cabeza, esta vez un traje amarillo canario con playeras a tono. La idea de un traje de un color brillante para primavera con unas playeras a juego es un look muy ‘cool’ en mi opinión (quizás demasiado chillón para la oficina pero un buen cambio de los colores de trajes que solemos ver todos los días).
MODERN MATCHY MATCHY – If you’re not down for wearing just one color, this is a light take on the monochrome trend – wearing garments and accessories all within the same color but in different tones (minus the bag). A new way of being «matchy matchy«, playing with the same color group but mixing it up by choosing one contrasting accessory.
‘Matchy matchy’ moderno – Si no te gusta la idea de llevar solo un color, esta es una versión ‘light’ de la tendencia monocromo,-llevar prendas y complementos todos dentro del mismo color pero en diferentes tonos (menos el bolso). Es una nueva manera de ser ‘matchy matchy’, jugar con colores del mismo grupo pero combinándolos con un complemento que hace contraste.
**matchy matchy = esta una expresión muy coloquial que usamos cuando vemos que unas prendas o complementos son demasiados similares y no hacen contraste, como cuando llevas todo del mismo color.
